The group, Tree Protectors of St. Mary’s says a proposed subdivision along Glass Street in St. Mary’s could affect the Grand Trunk Trail.
The organization says under the town’s official plan, a northerly extension of Wellington Street North would cut the trial in half.
It claims this puts the trail users at risk.
Tree Protectors says instead of extending the street, it’s suggesting town council build more cycling and walking trails.
The group will make its case to St. Mary’s town council at the June 13th meeting.
