Former registered nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer has pleaded guilty to all 14 charges against her. This includes eight counts of first degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault. The judge asked Wettlaufer in court today if she intended to kill the senior patients when she gave them insulin and the former nurse agreed. The seniors were patients at nursing homes in Woodstock and London. The judge told Wettlaufer that the charges against her come with a life sentence in prison. The crown says Wettlaufer won’t be eligible for parole until October 2041. The 49-year-old will be 74 at that time. Victim impact statements will be read in court on June 26th and 27th.
