1.2 million Dollars in Funding coming to Stratford

The City of Stratford is getting more than 1-point-2 million dollars in government funding for water and wastewater projects.

The funding will go towards relining the concrete sanitary sewer and upgrading the pumps at the Raw Sewage Lift Station.

Perth-Wellington M-P John Nater says nearly 3-point-2 million dollars from the federal Clean Water and Wastewater Fund will support 11 projects across the riding.

Nater says he is disappointed in how long it took for the money to come through, since eight of the projects, including the two in Stratford, should have already started.
