Police Investigate after Officer is Injured

Police are investigating after an officer was hurt in Ingersoll.

Police say the officer was following a stolen vehicle on Earl Street on Monday.

The officer got out of his cruiser to approach the vehicle, when the driver hit the parked cruiser, causing it to hit the officer.

The suspect vehicle then took off and was later found abandoned.

The officer was treated for minor injuries in hospital.  Police are looking for anyone with information.
