Pearson, Grant

With heavy hearts the Pearson family announces the passing of Grant Stanley Pearson on April 14th, 2014. Deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Maxine. He cherished his family dearly and was father of Karen Adcock (Bill) of London, Jo Anne Kew (Rick) of Stratford, and Jeff Pearson (Donna) of Whitby. Brother of Arnold (Fran), Shirley Wyville (Don) and Leonard (Brenda) of St. Marys. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Merle, son Dennis and sister Dora Thompson. Loving grandfather to Nick, Kory, Katie, Brianne, Lisa, Brett, Craig and Miranda and great grandchildren Gwen, Cadence, Zachary, Landon and Mathew. He served as a sergeant in the Canadian army for 20 years with the Royal Canadian Dragoons and peacekeeping forces at posts in Europe and the Middle East. He was a lifelong carpenter, building kitchens and two homes for his family. He also had love of camping, travel and country music. Grant enjoyed playing guitar and singing with the Gypsy Campers, the Old Time Band and other local groups. He enjoyed passing down his years of wisdom in life lessons and carpentry skills to his children. He will be dearly missed and be forever in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to the Andrew L Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, St. Marys (519-284-2820), on Friday, April 18, 2014 for visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m.
