Ontario’s Minister of Health and Long Term Care has agreed to extend public consultation on the impending closure of Hillside Manor.
The ministry is holding a public meeting tomorrow at the Mitchell Community Centre from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
The 90-bed long-term care home is slated to close in a few years with up to 50 beds proposed to move to London.
Perth-Wellington M-P-P Randy Pettapiece has been vocal on the issue, saying it would be devastating for more beds to be moved out of the counties.
