Protect against West Nile Virus

The Perth District Health Unit is doing its part to control the mosquito population and help stop the spread of West Nile Virus.

The health unit starts trapping adult mosquitoes and testing for West Nile in the last week of June.

The health unit also does catch basin larviciding in July and August in Stratford, St. Marys, Listowel and Mitchell.

The health unit is reminding you to wear long sleeves and pants and to wear bug spray with DEET to protect yourself from mosquito bites.
