Local Paramedics give Warning about Stroke Symptoms

Perth County paramedics are asking you not to drive yourself to the hospital if you are suffering stroke symptoms.
They say you should call 9-1-1 instead.
The Huron-Perth local district stroke council says the Listowel Memorial Hospital is seeing an increasing number of walk-in patients with stroke symptoms.
Paramedic Deputy Chief Cliff Eggleton says Stratford General is the only stroke designated hospital in the area that can give the specialized treatment needed.
June is Stroke Prevention Month.
