PDHU talks vaccines ahead of National Immunization Awareness Week

The Perth District Health Unit is spreading the word on vaccines ahead of National Immunization Awareness Week.

Jennifer Beaver is a nurse with the PDHU.

She tells us why everyone should get vaccinated:

Beaver reminds us that these diseases haven’t disappeared:

She reiterates the fact that vaccines are completely safe:

Parents keep in mind that three new vaccinations have been added to the requirement list for students.

Kids now need proof they’ve had their shots for meningococcal disease, whooping cough, and, for those born after 2010, chickenpox.
