Police unimpressed after car seat crackdown

Police in Wellington County are not impressed with the results of their Easter weekend seat belt safety blitz.

The Wellington County OPP inspected 144 car seats.

Every single one of them required some level of adjustment.

Due to serious errors, four drivers received tickets demerit points not securing their child properly.

The most common errors were five point harnesses were too loose; the chest clip was too low and the Car Seat itself was not adequately secured in the vehicle.

Ten motorists were also stopped and ticketed for not wearing their seat belts.
