A Woodstock man is in custody after a 25-year-old woman was battered Sunday morning.
Police found her in distress in the Norwich Avenue area at the CN tracks.
She had been walking along the tracks when an unknown man approached her and repeatedly hit her in the face.
The canine unit tracked down a 26-year-old man and he was arrested.
