The Town of St. Mary’s first responders along with local police are reopening the are near Elgin Street West, Warner Street and Willard Court due to a natural gas leak.
The Perth County OPP says residents who were previously evacuated are now being allowed back into their homes.
Union Gas is on site and has shut off the natural gas supply in the area.
The utility provider says service should be restored later this afternoon.
