Nater Outlines What Aspects of NAFTA Local Businesses and Producers Should be Concerned With

Perth-Wellington MP John Nater says one way or another NAFTA negotiations will have an impact on local businesses in the region.

He says there are two issues which could affect our agriculture sector more than others.

Nater says he’s pleased with Ottawa’s decision to have Canada’s team at the table be represented by all of the country’s parties.

He says local producers have deep ties to U-S markets which are mutually beneficial.

The federal government has also outlined the environment and climate change as priorities in the negotiations.
