Blood Donor Clinics Coming to Stratford at Critical Time

Canadian Blood Services will be making stops in Stratford at a time when donations are needed more than ever.

That’s according to Territory Manager Elaine St. Pierre.

She says while all blood types are needed, but those with O-negative are in the highest demand as their blood can be used to treat anyone.

Blood donations don’t just go to local emergency rooms or hospitals, parts of the blood such as plasma and platelets can be used in certain cancer or auto-immune disease treatments.

The first clinic will be at the Christina Reformed Church on Athlone Crescent from 1:00pm to 7:00pm and the other at the Stratford Rotary Complex from 9:00am until noon on September 2nd.
