Police make an arrest after incident near Rostock

Police have made an arrest after last Tuesday’s ATV chase but they’re still looking for the man who got away.

He was able to escape into the forest due to thick fog and later abandoned the ATV near Sebringville.

The Perth County OPP pursued him along Line 49 near Rostock and later brought in the Canine Unit but nothing was found.

However, police noticed a stolen pickup truck at the same residence where the man with the ATV had been before he took off.

Police searched the property and recovered $100,000 worth of stolen items.

A 48-year-old Perth East man now faces multiple charges.

However, the man on the ATV is still missing.

If you have any information, you’re asked to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
