Records Broken During Waste Drop offs

Stratford Public Works is thanking the community for shattering last year’s numbers over the weekend during the landfill’s Hazardous Waste drop-offs.

Waste Reduction Coordinator Kate Simpson says the city is happy people are being more responsible when it comes to getting rid of potentially dangerous materials responsibly.

More than four times as many people showed up on Friday, and double the amount on Saturday compared to last year.

Simpson says the week of September 25th to the 30th will be the last chance to get rid of hazardous waste before next spring.
