The Perth District Health Unit says yet another mosquito pool has come back positive for West Nile Virus, this time in Stratford.

It brings the number of positive tests from mosquitoes in Perth County to six.

Our local health unit has posted a number of bulletins and maintains the best ways to reduce your risk remain clearing any standing water from your property, covering up where possible and always using insect repellent with DEET in it.

Public Health Inspector Stephanie Carlisle says this is usually the time of year many communities will find mosquitoes carrying the virus.

So far, no human case of W-N-V have been reported in Perth County.
