City council will ask Famme to fill Nickel’s seat

Stratford City Council will ask Howard Famme to fill in until the fall.

It was decided last night at City Hall to ask him to replace the late Paul Nickel until a municipal election can be held later this year.

If Famme declines, the City will advertise the position.

Council also approved the zoning change requested by the Black Swan Brewing Company on Downie Street across from Hudson’s.

The new craft brewery is hoping to have the beer flowing to the public by this fall.

Council also discussed changing St Andrew Street to a one-way street to accommodate more parking spots.
