Stratford Police and Perth County OPP Cracking Down Over Long Weekend

Both the Perth County OPP and Stratford Police will be taking a zero tolerance approach heading into the Labour Day long weekend.

Constable Dave Stewart from the Stratford Police says distracted driving continues to be a growing concern.

He says it could mean a $500 fine for anyone caught with a phone in their hand behind the wheel on top of demerit points.

The OPP says it will be cracking down on the big four along our provincial and county highways.

That refers to distracted, aggressive and impaired driving along with speeding.
