Expect to See More Police on Our Roads as Students Head Back to School

The Perth County OPP says it will be out in full force today as kids are heading back to school.

Police are reminding drivers to check their speed in school and community zones along with being cautious around school busses.

The OPP says if you fail to stop or if you pass a school bus with its stop arm out and lights flashing you could face fines of up to $2,000 and six demerit points.

Police say it’s one of the busiest times of year for this kind of enforcement and officers will be taking a zero-tolerance approach when it comes to student safety.
