PED spreads in Manitoba

While there are no new cased of PED to report in Ontario, Manitoba is taking a hit.

The province’s chief veterinary officer says porcine epidemic diarrhea was found at another high-traffic site.

Eight high-traffic sites have now tested positive for the nasty virus.

The highly contagious illness has hit 57 farms in Ontario and also spread to Quebec, PEI and 30 states in the USA.

PED is not contagious to humans and does not impact meat quality.
