Natural gas service is coming to Perth East, for some parts as-soon-as December 1st.
Mayor Bob McMillan says the successful application to the Ontario Energy Board has taken years of hard work.
He says it could give rural residents and local businesses a break on their energy bills.
McMillan says Union Gas has made a great deal of headway in the 20 kilometres of piping needed to bring the service to Milverton by December 1st.
Rostock and Wartburg are expected to be connected to the service by the middle of next year.
