County on Target to Meet Paramedic Response Time Targets

The county’s 2018 Ambulance Response Time Reporting Plan has been accepted by council.

The report looks at targets set on the ground level throughout the county for how quickly paramedics and other first responders make it to calls.

Director of Emergency Services Linda Rockwood says rural EMS face the obstacle of distance, especially given the area`s size.

She says some counties and regions have previously lowered their standards in order to make targets, however Perth County is on target to meet its current benchmarks.
