Stratford Now has Stake in Future of Automated Vehicles

The Renesas autonomous vehicle test track has officially opened its doors for business in Stratford.

The California-based tech company will be testing automated vehicles at its new track located near Romeo and Lorne Avenue.

The rollout is part of a partnership between Renesas, the city of Stratford, InvestStratford and the University of Waterloo.

The facility is built on a former snow dump site, it will now be used to test different road conditions, programming and safety features for future automated vehicles.
