Optimism Place Gearing up for Women of the Year Awards

Optimism Place is gearing up for its annual women of the year awards later this month, with a special guest set to deliver the keynote speech.

Author, activist and women’s health advocate Maureen McTeer will be headlining the event.

McTeer has been a loud voice for women’s reproductive health rights, legal protections and domestic violence reform.

The women’s shelter and support services centre hosts the event every year to celebrate and recognize women from Perth County who have distinguished themselves in community service, the business world, and education to name a few.

The awards are set for Friday, October 27th at the Best Western Plus Arden Park in Stratford.
