United Way releases list of funding recipients

The United Way Perth-Huron has released the list of organizations that’ll receive funding this year.

Nearly 50 agencies, projects and programs in the region will be getting money.

Donors gave a total of $1,133,506 to last year’s campaign.

This year residents of Perth and Huron Counties, whose joint share of the 2013 campaign allocations totals $569,880, will benefit from services provided by:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Huron
CNIB
Community Outreach Services
Emily Murphy Centre
Family Services Perth-Huron
Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre
Huron Hospice Volunteer Service
Huron Safe Homes for Youth
Huron Women’s Shelter
John Howard Society of London & District
ONE Care Home & Community Support Services
Partners in Employment
St. Marys Youth Centre
St. John’s Cooperative Preschool
St. Marys St. John Ambulance
Stratford St. John Ambulance
Shelterlink
Stratford-Perth Family YMCA
VON Perth Huron Branch

Grant Recipients:

YMCAs across Southwestern Ontario
Listowel Secondary School
Central Huron Secondary School

On top of those allocations, $365,425 will fund these United Way-supported projects:

•Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron
•PF Solutions/Training-For-Success
•Social Research and Planning Council
•The United Centre
•Transportation Task Force
•Volunteer Portal
•Winter Warmth

$28,177 will also be donated to various charities.
