Passed away suddenly at his residence, RR # 2 Milverton onWednesday, October 18, 2017. John was born 85 years ago, a son of the late Robert Young and former Susie Strickert. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Young who predeceased him November 9, 2010. Loving father of Ronda Lichti (Robert) of Stratford, Joanne Bannon of Brunner, Nancy Young and friend Perry of Langley, BC, Jeanette Young, and Bill Young, both of RR #2 Milverton. Sadly missed by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Hazel O’Neil of Listowel, Ethel Crocker (Ted) of London, Eileen Johnson of Guelph and sister-in-law Phyllis Young of Stratford. John was predeceased by son-in-law Murray Bannon, grandson Trevor Lichti, brothers Erwin Young in infancy, Gordon Young and brothers-in-law Arnold Ward, Robert O’Neil, and Cecil Johnson
John farmed at RR # 2 Milverton. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Monkton. John enjoyed being outdoors and going for rides and travelling the countryside to watch the crops grow.
Visitation at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home onTuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. Pastor Marc Fraser officiating. Interment in Donegal Cemetery.
