Pettapiece Introduces Motion to Tackle Loss of Local Long Term Care Beds

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece has introduced a motion in Queen’s Park to address the transfer of local long-term care beds.

Pettapiece says with a motion on the floor and date set for discussion, it gives the issue more teeth in the House.

The motion centres around the proposed closure of Mitchells’ Hillside Manor, something Pettapiece has been keeping the pressure on since its announcement in April.

He says it’s part of a much broader problem, without a clear, singular solution which doesn’t just affect Perth-Wellington but many ridings in Ontario on either side of the floor.
