Driver of Cement Truck Which Left the Road Airlifted to Hospital

The Wellington County OPP says it’s investigating a serious crash near Mapleton which sent one person to hospital via air ambulance.

Police say it happened yesterday morning as a cement truck struck a guardrail and went off the road on Wellington Road 10, just south of Moorefield.

The truck fell down an embankment losing its cement mixer.

Police say the area of County Road 10 between Concession 5 and Selinger Road will be re-opened later this morning.
