County Emergency Management Says Be Prepared following Snow Squall Watch

Perth County’s Emergency Management Coordinator Dave Colvin says it’s important you’re prepared on the road and at home for this afternoon’s projected snowfall.

Environment Canada says some areas in Perth, Huron and Middlesex counties could see as-much-as 15 centimetres of snow if multiple squalls hit.

Colvin says an emergency kit containing some candles, blankets, a phone charger, water and non-perishable food might be a good idea.

He says the rough weather could begin moving into Perth County by late this afternoon, continuing into tomorrow.

Perth County OPP Constable Laura Lee Brown says a set of winter tires is a great investment into your safety and that of others.
