The French government made the decision due to the ongoing porcine epidemic diarrhea epidemic.
France has also banned imports from the US, Mexico and Japan to prevent PED from seeping into the country.
PED has wormed its way onto 58 farms in Ontario including six in Perth, 11 in Huron and 10 in Oxford.
