Kiwanis Preparing for Annual Christmas Basket Fund

The Stratford Kiwanis Club is now accepting donations for its CJCS Christmas Basket fund which helps families across the city every year.

President Ron Bailey says the fund has a long history, having begun in 1980.

He says more than 600 baskets go out every year thanks to all of the fund’s volunteers and donors.

The baskets contain fresh food such as potatoes, carrots, apples, bread and oranges among other items including a food voucher.

Bailey says the club will be sending out the baskets on December 21st.

Anyone interested in volunteering should come to the Local Community Food Centre around 9:00am to help with packing and delivery.

You can drop off donations until December 18th at the Juice FM/2Day FM studios on Romeo Street.
