The Avon Maitland District School Board says it has international students from 11 different countries in its classrooms.
TheĀ board has set a new record for international enrolment.
The board says the diversity of its international compliment of students is impacting extracurricular activities, clubs and sports in a positive way.
Superintendent Jodie Baker says those countries include Japan, China, Brazil, France and Germany among others.
