Stratford General Gets $2 Million to Replace Roof

Stratford General Hospital is receiving more than $2 million to help replace its roof as part of Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan.

In total, regional hospitals will be receiving $3.5 million in funding using proceeds from Ontario’s carbon tax.

The funding is designed to help hospitals cut their carbon footprint and use less energy.

The Seaforth Community Hospital will be putting $180,000 towards replacing all of its lighting fixtures.

South Huron, Hanover, Grey Bruce, Meaford and Listowel hospitals are all sharing in the funding.
