Perth County Sharing Safety Tips and Resources to Keep up with Snow Squall Warning

Don’t head out on the road today if you don’t have to, that’s the message from Perth County’s Emergency Management Coordinator.

Dave Colvin says county roads crews are out in full force today but it’s difficult to stay on top of the situation during heavy snow.

Colvin says there are a number of resources you can use to check road conditions, closures and keep up to date with the forecast.

He says make sure your gas tanks are topped off, cell phones are charged and you have a stock emergency roadside or home kit containing candles, blankets or non-perishable food just in case.

The forecast is calling for up to 20 centimetres of snow over the next 24 hours.
