Pettapiece Attends Consulting Sessions on Bill 148 Alongside Local Business Owners

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece says Friday’s talk on Bill 148 for local small business owners in Listowel was well attended.

He says there’s a lot more to the bill aside from the increase in minimum wage such as defining contractual workers, pay for part-time and full-time employees along with sick leave and emergency days.

Listowel based consulting firm Ward and Uptigrove helped to simplify a lot of what’s coming down the pipeline for the province.

Pettapiece says the top priority is making sure businesses are ready for the changes coming January 1st and that they can call the ministry directly or go online to get information.
