Perth-Wellington MP John Nater says local employers can apply for funding as part of the 2018 Canada Summer Jobs program.
The funding allows local businesses to take on more employees and give students a better shot at more jobs through the summer.
Nater says nearly 110 young people were employed across Perth and Wellington counties as part of the jobs created through the program.
He says it’s important employers get their applications in as the program opened two weeks later than expected.
The window to apply is until February 2nd with successful applications set to receive approval in April.
