17 Year Old Charged with 2nd Degree Murder

A 17-year-old boy charged with second-degree murder made his appearances in court on Thursday and Friday.

It’s in relation to the death of a 57-year-old woman from Elmira which police are treating as suspicious.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service says the woman was found dead in a home on Falcon Drive on Christmas Day.

The 17-year-old has been remanded into custody following his second court appearance on Friday.

The woman’s cause of death has not yet been released by police as the investigation is ongoing.
