A couple from Mitchell are the proud parents of Stratford’s New Year’s baby. Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance Communications Specialist Amanda Dobson says Melissa and Jean-Claude Desjardins welcomed a baby girl into the world at Stratford General Hospital at 2:30 am on New Year’s Day. Ellie-Mae Olivia Lynne Desjardins was born weighing nine pounds and four ounces and was 55 centimeters long.
