Extreme Cold Warning Extended

Environment Canada has extended its extreme cold warning for all of southwestern Ontario.

Temperatures are expected to drop below minus 30 degrees through the overnight tonight, with windchills pushing around the minus 40 degree mark.

The national forecaster says to cover up as you can get frostbite within minutes of leaving skin exposed in the overnight temperatures.

Perth County Emergency Services says to make sure you have an emergency kit in your vehicles with extra blankets and jumper cables.

The cold temperatures are expected to continue into Saturday.
