Huron County Leads Region with Number of RIDE Events

The Huron County OPP led all western region detachments in RIDE checks over the holidays.

In total police in Huron County had 234 RIDE events over the campaign which aims to crack down on impaired driving.

The OPP says four drivers were charged over the holidays with impaired and one other with a warning suspension.

During this year’s Festive RIDE campaign a total of 623 impaired drivers were taken off the road across Ontario.

Police say if see someone you believe may be impaired behind the wheel don’t hesitate to call them as you could help save lives.
