Stratford Area Could See Less Snow than Golden Horseshoe and GTA

New weather models from Environment Canada suggest we’re in store for an unpredictable mix of snow and rain on Friday.

Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says right now it looks like the Stratford area will be spared the brunt of it.

He says the area will likely see another system develop over Lake Huron with winds from the northwest blowing snow squalls through the region on Saturday and Sunday.

Coulson says we can also expect another cold snap heading into the rest of January.

Snowfall estimates currently sit around the 10 centimetre mark locally but that could change given the unpredictability of the systems mixing to the south.
