Perth County Joins Waze Connected Citizens Program

First responders may have an easier time getting to you thanks to Perth County joining the Waze Connected Citizens Program.

Emergency Management Coordinator Dave Colvin says this means paramedic and fire dispatchers will have more updated information when sending out first responders.

It’s all part of a much larger system in the Municipal 511, which has information on power outages, road closures and roads conditions.

Colvin says the integration into the app will give the everyday commuter a much better idea of what to expect on our roads, especially in the winter time.
