Officers Go Door to Door Sharing Theft Prevention Tips

Officers from the Perth County OPP and its auxiliary unit paid personal visits to a number of rural residents sharing safety tips.

Most centered around the Lock it and Lose it campaign and theft prevention tips after three cases of theft in the last week in Perth County.

The OPP says rural properties can be attractive targets due to their remoteness, whether it be a home or a business.

Officers stopped in more than 200 properties over the weekend to help spread the word and interact with the communities they help to protect.
