St. Marys Memorial Hospital Getting New Elevator

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is letting the public know St. Marys Memorial Hospital will be replacing its elevator.

The elevator will be out of service beginning next Monday and is set to be reopened on March 5th.

The HPHA says it’s part of the hospital getting ahead of problems the 25-year-old elevator could cause in the near future.

Director of Facilities Management Doug Biesinger says the S1 stairwell will be made available for anyone who needs access to or from the hospital’s basement.

The upgrade is being funding by the province’s Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
