Flood Warnings and Watches Remaining in Effect for GRCA Watersheds

The Grand River Conservation Authority is keeping flood warnings in Woolwich and New Hamburg in effect for the time-being.

The GRCA says ice jams along the Nith River are a big concern as it regulates flows, with Woolwich’s St. Jacobs Bridge still flooded.

The authority says it believes the inflows into major reservoirs in the region have peaked and is keeping an eye on outflows.

The watershed under the Upper Thames Conservation Authority has seen no major flooding, despite receiving around 35 millimetres of rain on Monday.
