Water Levels Still High as GRCA Calls off Flood Warnings and Watches

The Grand River Conservation Authority has ended all of its flood watches and warnings in the local watershed.

However, the authority is still warning water levels are high and is asking you to stay away from ice fishing or approaching any river banks.

The Nith River is still seeing a number of jams, some in Wilmot near New Hamburg, but most further to the south near Norfolk.

With temperatures headed back into the plus column this weekend, the GRCA says it hopes many of the jams will melt as little-to-no rain is in the forecast.
