A Stratford man facing extortion charges made a second appearance in a Perth County courtroom yesterday.
It comes as new information was brought forth by the Crown’s attorney in the case.
Stratford Police say an 18-month long investigation revealed a suspect used fake social media accounts to lure more than a dozen women into sending naked photos.
The women were promised money in exchange for the photos, but were never paid.
The suspect then threatened to post the pictures to Facebook for the victim’s family and friends to see.
Twenty-two-year-old Josh Alexander faces 35 criminal charges, including criminal harassment and extortion.
