Basil Edwin Voisin of Stratford, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the age of 73 years.
Born in Woodstock on July 7, 1944, and son of the late Mary (Lively) and Bert Voisin. Basil was an employee of Hutton Transport for many years until his retirement.
Beloved husband of 41 years to the late Margaret “Peg” (Slater) Voisin, who predeceased him on December 26, 2013. Loving Father of Tracey Boyd (Jamie) of Tavistock and Michael Voisin of Waterloo. Cherished Grandfather of Shelby Hayle (Jordan) and Tye Boyd.
Lovingly remembered by special friend, Betty Clifford. Also survived by brothers and sisters; John Voisin (Cathy Wittig), Thorndale, Janice Ellah, Stratford, Paul Wintermeyer, Elmira, Sharon and Paul Fassbind, Windsor, William and Janice Voisin, St. Mary’s, Jim and Zita Voisin, Stratford, Kim and Don Bailey, St. Mary’s and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides his parents and wife, Basil was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Jack and Donna (Swift) Slater, brother Patrick Voisin, sister Patricia Wintermeyer, and brothers-in-law Donald Keiswetter, Lorne Ellah and Brian Somerville.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford on Monday, February 12th from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 13th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
