Freezing Rain Warning in Effect

Environment Canada has issued freezing rain warnings across most of southwestern Ontario.

The forecast is calling for snow transitioning into ice pellets and then into freezing rain come Sunday morning and continuing throughout the day.

Temperatures will be jumping up Sunday morning and hovering around the freezing mark before the freezing rain transitions back into snow on Sunday evening.

Roads, highways, sidewalks and parking lots will be slippery with ice build-up expected in many areas.

Perth County’s Emergency Services and our local OPP are warning drivers to be prepared for hazardous road conditions as plows will be out in full force on Sunday.
